A Journalist’s challenges

In this video, Arash Sigarchi, a journalist, blogger and former editor of “Gilan-e Emrouz” newspaper in Rasht, describes his journalism activities that led to his detention in 2004. After serving more than two years of his three year prison sentence, he was temporarily released so that he could be treated for tongue cancer. He left Iran for continuing his treatment in January 2008 and lives in the United States.
